Troy Franklin Campbell, age 77, of Evart passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at Spectrum Health - Reed City Campus.

Mr. Campbell was born Aug. 15, 1932 in Camden, Mo. to Troy Charles and Essie (Carpenter) Campbell. He married Dorthy M. (Mathis) Campbell on Oct. 10, 1951 in Evart. He lived in Ratcliff, Ark. from 1932 to 1950; Kansas City, Mo. from 1954 to 1997 and Evart from 1997 to 2009. He worked as a Kansas City police detective, a computer programmer, a heating and cooling manager and for Commerce Banks in the Missouri area.

Mr. Campbell was a member of the Faith Bible church and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1950 to 1951.

He is survived by his wife, Dorthy M. (Mathis) Campbell of Evart; son, Troy Michael (Cynthia) Campbell of Gladstone, Mo.; daughter, Cathy Colette (Richard) Ash of South Carolina; sister, Delphia (Joseph) Bryant of Arkansas; brothers, Don (Deanna) Campbell of Peculiar, Mo., Marvin Campbell of Oklahoma, Ronald Campbell of Liberty, Mo. and George Campbell of St. Joseph, Mo. and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant daughters and an infant son.
