Jack was the son of Ananias Jackson Booth, Sr. (b. 1829 Fishkill, Duchess County, NY d. Sep 1891 Charleston, Delta Co., TX) and Mary Jane McKee (b. 1838 Randolph Co., IL d. 12 Mar 1883 Hopkins Co., TX).

Jack married Salena Ann Elizabeth Atkins on 5 Jun 1887 in Sulphur Bluff, Hopkins Co., TX.

Salina had a prior marriage to a Mr. Owen and the following children: James Walter (1876-1934) (Memorial 555768904), Elijah Bluett (1878-1956), and Oscar Lewis (1881-1959) (Memorial 62337467).

Jack and Lena had the following children:

While the gravesite shows Annias, you'll frequently find the name spelled Ananias in documents. You'll also find documents with Anias. If you look up the spelling, Ananias is a biblical name and the name I think they were perhaps going for. In any case, if you're researching this family, look for these spellings as well as a few others! Since I have no way to know how a researcher will spell the name, I've used the biblical spelling, which is the one that most consistently appears in documents.

A. J .Booth Rites In Snyder Today

Last rites for A. J. Booth, pioneer Taylor county resident and father of Mrs. Thad Russell of Abilene, will be conducted at Snyder today. Mr. Booth died Friday morning at his home there.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell and sons, Thad Jr., and Billy Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Larrimore of Abiene, and John Atkins of Merkel were among those going to Snyder after receiving word of Mr. Booth's death. He was born May 4, 1861.

Ill for two or three months Mr. Booth was not considered in a serious condition until a short time before his death.

A son, Lamour Booth of Lamesa, and two other daughters, Mrs. Mary Williams of New Mexico and Mrs. Emma Smith of Snyder, and his wife also survive Mr. Booth.

Burial will be in Snyder cemetery beside the grave of his first wife, who died in 1931.
