Esta Mae Matthews, 82, Warrensburg, Mo. died June 5, 1994, in a nursing home in Warrensburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Chapel, Warrensburg; burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove in Jackson County. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg. Mrs. Matthews was born in Lafayette County, MO and lived in Warrensburg most of her life. She was a receptionist at Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Warrensburg, before She retired in 1970. She was a member of the church. Her husband, Frank Matthews, died in 1970. Survivors include two sons, Carl Matthews, Centerview, MO and Archie Ray Matthews, Warrensburg; three brothers, Lee McFerrin, Odessa, MO, Ralph McFerrin, Higginsville, MO and Paul McFerrin, Warrensburg, four sisters, Viola Barnett, Mildred Fisher, Virginia Ramsey and Alice Hanrahan of Warrensburg; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
