Obituary:
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora E. Waters, of Shade Gap, R.D. 1, who died on Saturday, May 28, 1938, of a stroke of apoplexy, will be held on Wednesday, June 1, at 2:30 o'clock in the Burnt Cabins Methodist Episcopal church with the Rev. Wagner officiating. Burial will be made in the Pleasant hill cemetery. W. D. Behel funeral service. A complete obituary will appear in a later issue of the paper.
Mrs. Cora E. Waters, of R.D. 1, Shade Gap, passed away at her late home on Sunday, May 29, 1938. Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy. She was born at Shade Gap, a daugher of William Price and Margaret Jones Price. She was a consistent member of the Burnt Cabins Methodist Episcopal church. She is survived by her husband, James W. Waters; one son, Donald V. Waters, of McClure, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret McVey, of Newton Hamilton, and the following brothers and sisters: Samuel Price and William Price, of Shade Gap; Mrs. Amanda Black, of Lewistown; Joshua Price and Harvey Price, of Woodvale; C.A. Price, of Shirleysburg; Rev. Arthur Price, of Duncannon, and O.O. Price, of Mount Union. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Burnt Cabins Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by Rev. Wagner. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Behel's funeral service.
