Mr. Amos Osborne of 2756 Big Valley Rd. Hyden, KY departed this life on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Mary Breckenridge Hospital in Hyden, KY. He was born March 2, 1935 at Omarsville "Kaliopi", KY, the son of Anderw & Mollie Napier Osborne.

By occupation he was a skilled beef boner with Stark & Whitzel in Indianapolis, IN. He was a resident of Indiana 16 years before returning to his hometown in Leslie County KY. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading his Bible & most importantly spending time with his family. Amos & Twila was Foster Parents many years caring for & loving over 100 kids during this time. He always wanted a big family as he said he had enough love to go around & he always showed that love to us all.

Amos is preceded in death by; his parents, Andrew & Mollie Napier; brothers, Donald & James Andrew "Andy" Osborne; sisters, Dorothy Dowdy, Eria Collins, Edith Osborne, Olma Everetts, Ethel Woods, Jean Tolk Kessler, Cynthia Joyce Daley.

He leaves surviving; his loving wife of 55 years, Twila O'Neal Osborne; daughters, Deborah "Phillip" Hoskins, Delaina "Bill" Baker & Wanda "Pat" Couch; sons, Ricky "Jeannie" Napier & Jimmy "Gina" Osborne; grandchildren, Twynell "Rodney" Stidham, Joyell "Eric" Anderson, William Baker, Joshua Osborne, Dylan Napier, Chandler Couch & Makendrah Couch; great grandchildren, James Stidham, Nicholas Baker, Kordell Anderson, Jarod Stidham, Alicyn Anderson, Noah Amos Baker & Rileigh Stidham. He is also survived by numerous neices & nephews along with 2 special friends Anna Carol Jones & Rachel Lewis. He leaves Special Caregivers; the staff of the Mary Breckenridge Hospital & the Hyden Nursing Home. Amos also leaves his 2 Mini Pins, Bo & Luke who he loved very much, along with his other dog Chico who loved him dearly. Amos leaves many friends who loved him & will miss him dearly.

Funeral Services for Mr. Amos Osborne were held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, KY with Steve Springer, Roger Wolfe & Wayne Bowling officiating. Enternment followed in the Osborne Family Cemetery on Hell For Certain Creek in Hyden, KY.

The following served as Pallbearers; Bill Baker, Robbie Witek, William Baker, Rodney Stidham, Eric Anderson, Michael Hunt & James Stidham.
