COLUMBUS, GA— Evelyn M. Alexander, 77, of Columbus, GA. died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at McMullen Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hilderbrand officiating, with a private interment. The family will receive friends after the service at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus.
Mrs. Alexander was born December 15, 1928 in Columbus, GA., daughter of the late Pauline Coppedge Myers and Arthur Myers.
She had retired from the auditing dept. of Sears in Columbus and had attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Malcolm Alexander.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Lyn Coburn and son in law, Terry Ray of Loganville, GA.; son, Jeffrey Malcolm Alexander and daughter in law, Queena of Atlanta, GA.; a sister, Edith M. White of Columbus, GA.; grandchildren, Kasey Lauren Coburn, Taylor Marie Coburn, both of Loganville, GA., Joseph Wade Alexander of Auburn, AL. and Jeffrey Wayne Alexander of Phenix City, AL.; two great grandchildren.
