George W. Clapper died at his home in Logan township, Wednesday at 12:30 o'clock, of diseases incident to old age. He had been ailing for some time. Deceased was born in Canoe Valley on July 9, 1817.
His wife preceded him to the grave seven years ago, and these children survive: Mrs. G. Miller, of Kittanning Point; Mrs. G. Stone, of near Duncansville; Mrs. G. Dell, of Cross Keys; D.S. Clapper, of this city; J.H. Clapper, of Henry County, Ill.; S.R. Clapper, of Carson Valley; Mrs. S. Davis, Gallitzin. He also leaves forty-six grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
