Orangeburg - Mrs. Jessie Cherry Austin, 92, widow of Charles Wesley Austin, died Thursday in an Orangeburg hospital. Funeral services were held today at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Austin was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late John and Carrie Funchess Cherry. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Emory Ayers, Mrs. Chester Sain and Mrs. Pat Kelley, all of Orangeburg, and Mrs. Dennis LaCombe of Abilene, Tex.; two sons, Eddie L. Austin and C. W. Austin Jr., both of Orangeburg; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
