Funeral services were held at Talpa Thursday for Dr. S. A. Lowrie, 86, pioneer physician who died at his home in Post Wednesday.
Dr. Lowrie, a native Texan, practiced medicine at Goldthwaite and at Talpa for a number of years before his retirement. Beside a brother, A. N. Lowrie of Abilene, he is survived by Mrs. S. A. Lowrie, 2333 Pine, Abilene; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Allen of Goldthwaite and Kate Lowrie of Post; two sons, J. B. Lowrie of Houston and Dr. Harman Lowrie, Bowling Green, O., and nine grandchildren.
