FENCE LAKE — Services for Norman Don Cogwell, 73, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Fence Lake Community School. The Rev. John Waddey will officiate. Burial will be in Fence Lake Community Cemetery.

Cogwell died Oct. 24, 2009, in Litchfield Park, Ariz. He was born May 5, 1936, in Quemado.

Cogwell started his working career at the age of 13, drilling wells with his step-dad. He served three years in the Army in Barstow, Calif. After his stint in the Army, he moved to Quemado, where he owned and operated a gas station and garage.

In 1964, Cogwell sold the gas station and moved to Phoenix, where he raised his family and began working for the City of Phoenix, until his retirement. He was very active throughout life with his family and their small farm. He joined the Church of Christ in 1984. Cogwell always put others before himself and was a very patient and understanding man.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Cogwell of Fence Lake; daughters, Donna Pearsall of Phoenix, Sheryl Ali of Litchfield Park; six sisters; two brothers; one grandchild.

Cogwell was preceded in death by her parents, Lilly Watson, Mathw Cogwell; three sister; one brother.

Pallbearers will be Michael Pino, Chao Pino, Frank White, Bill Murdock, Greg Cogwell, Chris Gordom.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fence Lake Community School, following services.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Bell Church of Christ, Sun City West, Ariz.
