~~~~~~~MY SISTER~~~~~~~~~
Carol was born second of us three girls and we were each 2 and 1/2 years apart in age. As we were growing up, my two older sisters played together because I was too little to join in. Then as my oldest sister, June, got into her teens, Carol and I played together. Then Carol became a teenager, and she and June were more suited age wise, and I was kinda on the outside.
When we lived in Port Arthur, Texas, Carol and June were into boys, and I wasn't yet, so they had more in common. They both met their husbands while the guys were in the Navy and stationed in Texas.
Carol's husband, Gene, was from Illinois, but he wanted to stay in Texas. June's husband was from Wisconsin and he wanted to get back there as soon as he could, and they did just that, and have been there ever since.
Carol is survived by 2 children, William Edward (Eddie)Hills & Jean Carol (Jeannie) Hills Turner but is now Mrs. Joe Long.
4 grandchildren, Chris (by Eddie) & Stephanie, Bradley & Sarah (by Jeannie).
Since her death, 3 great grandchildren have been born, Maddie and Collete (by Stephanie) who is expecting a baby boy and will be named Arlo, & Cayden (by Chris).
