Mr. Doyle Ray Gage age 77 of Hiram, Ga. passed away at Wellstar Paulding Hospital on Tuesday October 6, 2009. Mr. Gage was born in Paris, Texas on October 19, 1931 the son of the late Oscar John Gage and Nellie King. He was previously employed in order control at Beck and Gregg Hardware. He was an avid sports fan who loved singing and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. Mr. Gage was a veteran serving in the United States Army from October 10, 1952 until he was honorably discharged September 16, 1955. His time of service included the Korean War.
Mr. Doyle Ray Gage is survived by his 4 daughters and sons in law, Ms. Nancy Gage, Mr. Robert (Diane) Molton, Mr. Jesse (Kathy) Clark all of Douglasville, Ga; and Ms. Connie Gage of Dallas Ga; 1 son and daughter in law, Mr. David (Deborah) Gage of Hiram, Ga, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; 1 Sister and brother in law Mr. Victor (Shirley) Madison of Grand Prairie, Tx;, 2 brothers Mr. Larry Jay (Angie) Gage of Houston, Tx; and Mr. Gary Wayne (Nancy) Gage of Grand Prairie, Tx; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Evelyn Loretta Gage; father, Oscar John Gage; mother, Nellie King.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday October 9, 2009 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Pettit and Reverend Ted Mcclung officiating. Pall Bearers will include Billy Wayne Oneal, Marlin Petrosky, Kevin Mallory, Gary Johnson, Shaun Stoyles, Lynn Newton, and Johnny Quarles. Music will be provided by Brittany Johnson. Following the services Mr. Gage will be interred at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday October 8, 2009 from 4 PM until 9 PM and on Friday October 9, 2009 from 9AM until the service begins at 2 PM.
