Elizabeth "Betty" Cooper Mastin Allison, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 9, 2009.

Born in Huntsville, AL, she was the daughter of John Matthews Mastin and Elizabeth Cooper Mastin.

Mrs. Allison was a graduate of Ward Belmont and Vanderbilt University and received her B.S. in Mathematics.

Very active in her lifetime, she was a member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, she was actively involved in the Presbyterian Women and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of many organizations, including the Charleston Museum, Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Colonial Dames of America and an Honorary Member of The Garden Club of Charleston.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Arthur Webb Allison, Jr.; three sons, Arthur W. Allison, III and wife Kathy Moore Allison, of Brinklow, MD, Robert Mastin Allison of San Antonio, TX and Edward Slaton Allison and wife, Rebecca Runyan Allison of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Elizabeth Allison Lowry of York, SC; four grandchildren, Megan Allison Christie, Kayce Moore Allison, William Bratton Lowry and Coleman Fraser Lowry and one great-grandchild, David Joshua Joseph Christie.

She was predeceased by her sister, Lucy Mastin Kirkman.
