MRS WASH ATKINSON

Mrs. Clara Simmers Atkinson, 67, wife of Wash Atkinson and one of Tarentum's best known residents, died last evening at 6 o'clock in the Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Mrs. Atkinson was born in Butler county and spent her early life there, coming to Tarentum in 1891. She was well known here and had many friends. She was a devout member of the First Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. John Hoffman, of Tarentum; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Atkinson, widow of Wesley Atkinson; two sisters: Mrs. David Kerr, of Tarentum, and Mrs. Alex Wickline, of Kittanning. There are also six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. H.C. Renton, pastor of the First Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will follow in Prospect cemetery.
