Son of Robert Wilson Kuch & Marie Catherine Schillings. He was their first child and one of eight who survived to adulthood. Born at St. Louis, MO, and baptized a year later at the home of his Kuch grandparents, in Lehigh County, PA. In 1896, his parents moved the family back to St. Louis, MO, after leaving Pennsylvania for the last time. From 1899 to 1904, the family lived on a farm near Glover, in Iron County, MO. In 1904, they moved to Granite City, Madison County, Illinois. In 1909, Robert married Bertha Frances Phillips Kinder, and became the stepfather of her three Kinder children. Together, they had at least one child, Fred L Kuch, who drowned at the age of 16 years. He predeceased Bertha and he is buried with her, and their son Fred. In October, 2009, I do not know his date or place of death, but he was alive when his brother, Fred, wrote his Will in 1961, and his wife, Bertha, was a widow when she died in 1967.
