J. R. Hix Passes
J. R. Hix, aged about 68 years, resident of Davis for many years, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the home of his son, Pete Hix, in the west part of town, after an extended illness. He leaves a family.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced. Further notice will be given next week.

Services Saturday For J. R. Hix
Funeral services for J. R. Hix, 69, who died at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 28, were held at the Pentecostal Holiness church Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. O. M. Bonner officiating. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery.
John Robert Hix, retired farmer, was born in Texas Jan. 5, 1880, and had resided in what is now Oklahoma since he was seven years of age.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Audie Been, Fillmore, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Skipper; five sons, Sammie of Carlsbad, N.M.; Roy of Sulphur, Okla.; George of Shafter, Calif.; Floyd and J. B. of Davis, Okla.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were in charge of Dunn Funeral Home, Sulphur.
