Thomas Seamark is the son of Thomas Seamark and Mary Potter of Yalding, Kent, England. His father died in 1850 when he was only 4. His mother Mary then married his Uncle William Seamark. Thomas immigrated to Michigan with his parents William and Mary and 2 younger brothers, James and Joseph in 1858. They lived and farmed in Troy, Michigan.

He married Helen Dusenbury of Troy, Dec 1869. From this marriage - 2 sons were born, William and Harry. Sadly, Helen died shortly after the birth of Harry in 1873.

Thomas married Alice Davies on Nov. 29, 1876 in White Lake, Michigan. There were no children from this union. They farmed in Avon and White Lake, Michigan.
