Shelby Jean Brooks Davis
age 67 of Middlesboro passed away Wednesday June 18, 2008 in the Middlesboro Hospital. She was born June 26, 1940 in Middlesboro to the late Rex Doyle (Pap) Brooks and Bertha Brooks.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Jeffery Earl Davis, one daughter Kimberly Dawn (Davis) Perdue, one brother Douglas McArthur Brooks, and one grandson Jonathon Ross Perdue.
She is survived by her children Billy Joe (Eleanor) Davis of Middlesboro, Steven Brian (Jenny) Davis of Middlesboro, Michelle Renee Davis (Thomas Ray) Pace of Speedwell, TN, and Rex (Jana) Davis of Corbin KY, Brothers Earl (Lena) Brooks, and Bill (Dawn) Brooks, Sisters Polly (Bob) Innman and Carolyn (Alvie) Buell. Grandchildren Dustin and Kassie Adkins of West Lafayette Ind. Brandy Davis, Skyler, Houston, Justice, Gregory, Sarah, Blake, Brandon, Bradley, Jordan, Summer, Tyler, Joseph, Britt Perdue, (who is currently serving in Iraq) one great-granddaughter Ashlyn Adkins, special friend Eileen Rains and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 PM Saturday June 21, 2008 at Shumate Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday June 21, 2008 at Shumate Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in the Oakview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members.
