Widow of Philadelphia Inquirer Publisher Is Dead
Philadelphia, Pa., April 8 (AP) - Mrs. Eleanore Mayo Elverson, widow of Col. James Elverson Jr., president and publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer, died tonight in her apartment here of pneumonia. She was 57 years old and a daughter of the late Frank Mayo, distinguished romantic actor, and was herself an actress of note before her marriage.
