Betty Marie Bailey 70 of Glasgow, KY died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Malcom and Irene Greer Mosby. Mrs. Bailey was a graduate of Ralph Bunch High School, a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 sons Sidney Bailey (Iris) of Glasgow and David Bailey (Jennifer) of Glasgow; 1 daughter Genia Mitchell (Billy) of Glasgow; a special son Marcus Britt of Glasgow; 11 grandchildren Dominic and Ashley Bailey, Tony and Aissia Bailey, Maurice and Keiloni Mitchell, Courtney Martin, Amber Martin, Michael Bradley, Sammy Bradley and Kennedy Bailey; 5 great-grandchildren Kaden and Keira Bailey, Kamairie Mitchell, and Javid and Skylee Bailey; 3 sisters, Ann Hunter (William), Charlene Bailey (Winston) and Frances Stockton (Charles) all of Glasgow, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Powell Bailey and a sister Jeanette Massey.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2009 at the First Baptist Church at 611 S. Lewis St. in Glasgow with burial in the Barlow Cemetery
