Terry Lee Anderson, age 66, went home to be with his Heavenly Father early Sunday morning May 1, 2016. Terry was born June 5, 1949 to Jack and Erma Anderson in Flint, MI. He graduated from Durand High School in 1967 where he once threw a no-hitter. Terry enlisted in the United States Marines Corps in July of 1967. He served in the Viet Nam war as a helicopter crew chief and was honorably discharged in 1971. Terry was a committed lifetime member of the Durand VFW Reed-Raymond Post 2272, Marine Corps League and annually participated in their Toys-for-Tots program. He worked for General Motors for over 17 years as an assembly line laborer. He then worked as an escort driver for Alexander Trucking, which led him to a semi-truck driving position with their company. He later accepted a position driving for RTS until his retirement in 2007. Terry's interests included golf, hunting, fishing, spending time with grandchildren and loved exercising his brain on a challenging crossword puzzle or a good book. He was an avid Detroit Tiger and Red Wing fan.
Terry married the love of his life, LuAnn (Wright) Anderson on March 17, 1997.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, LuAnn, two children; Frank (Lesli) Anderson of Fowlerville, Terri Lee (Matt) Lemerand of Houghton Lake, 3 step-children; April (Chad) Miller of Traverse City, Dan (Lisa) Boles of Lansing and Jeff Boles of Owosso, his mother Erma Anderson of Lennon, 10 grandchildren; Brianna Hudson, Patience Anderson, Taylor Peek, Madelyn Boles, Jaden Boles, Garrett Dewitt-Anderson, Gavin Boles, Raelyn Miller, Abygail Boles, and Phoebe Lemerand, brother Ron (Nancy) Anderson and sister Jackie Anderson, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Terry is predeceased by his father and his two beloved dogs, Ginger and Toby. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Durand. Pastor Debbie Grazier will officiate with burial to follow at Byron Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and on Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
