Alexander McCormick, Esq. died on Saturday night last at residence on Fourteenth Ave., between Eleventh and Twelfth streets, after an illness of three years. Funeral at 2 p.m. on Wednesday next from the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. McCormick was one of our oldest and most respected citizens. He was 77 years, 6 months and 20 days old.

31 Mar 1881 - The Democrat, Indiana PA - The Altoona Sun of Saturday, says: "Death has been busy with well known citizens the past ten days, claiming as his victims Alexander McCORMICK and sister, James H. DYSART, Major J. D. LETE, D. P. RAY, Sr., and John PORTER of Alexandria."
