She was a retired teacher for the Beaumont Independent School District.
Except for brief residences in Houston and Alaska, Monica spent her entire life in Beaumont. She attended school at St. Anne, St. Anthony High School, Our Lady of Victory College in Fort Worth and Lamar Tech. She was an accomplished piano virtuoso, dedicated elementary school and special education teacher and a tirelessly devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Katrina Harbour; and beloved parents, Mary and John Daugherty.
Survivors include her sons, Chris Harbour and Bobby Harbour, Jr.; daughters, Julie Reid and Jennifer Hakes; sisters, Mary May Melancon and Margaret Ann Frasher; brothers, Joe Daugherty and John Daugherty; and grandchildren, Thomas Harbour, Christine Harbour, Casey Eshelman, Kristin Eshelman, Travis Carbaugh, Emily Harbour, Jacob Harbour, Mary Hakes, and Johnathan Hakes.
