28 MAY 2022, Incoming transfer, sighted, added gender. 1) Their motto Dum Tacet Clamat is Latin meaning "though silent, he speaks". This insurance company, started in the 1880's, would pay the widow $100 and provide a free grave marker, many of which were very ornate, some featuring vertical markers resembling the lopped-off trunk of a tree. I have a virtual cemetery of such markers.
2) A Woodmen of America/Woodmen of the World monument. The Woodmen of the World organization was probably best known for its gravestones. ~
