On June 28, 1952 he married Virginia Lea Moore and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. Then in 1980 he was united in marriage to Sheila Landers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Evelyn Marie Dugger; a grandaughter Crystal Lea Ward; three brothers, John, Howard and Van Dugger; and two sisters, Bernice High and Fern Taylor. Bill is survived by two sons, Larry and his wife Lisa, and Garry Dugger and his wife, Sherry, all of Hartville, Missouri; a daughter, Bonnie Ward and her husband Jim, of Hartville, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; a sister, Lois Auerbach, and her husband Mel, of Cederhurst, New York; a number of neices and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
He was born and raised in Hartville, and attended Johnson School. He remained in Hartville most of his life besides a short time he lived in California. He worked for Arnall Lumber Company as a straight line saw operator for over thirty years. He also loved working on his farming, caring for his cattle and going to the sale barn.
Bill made his profession of faith in Christ and had attended the Assembly of God church in his younger years and also attended Hilltop Church.
He centered his life on his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with friends. Most would say that he had a handle on life. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing and cutting wood. Bill was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend.
