Details of the drowning of Allie G. Slaughter which was reported to us on telephone by Mr. Curtis last Tuesday reached us and it seems that Mr. Slaughter was knocked out of a boat in the Chute near Cottonwood and clung to a limb in the water about two hours, thus death was caused more from chilling than drowning.
Funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the home of W.O. Cochran, his father-in-law. Interment was at Little Prairie Cemetery.
