Ruby Louise Achord died at noon on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at Summit Hospital in
Baton Rouge. She was 62 and a resident and native of Walker. Visitation was at
Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Monday and at the funeral home chapel
Tuesday until religious services, conducted by the Rev. Herman Holland.
Interment was in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery in Walker. She is survived by
a daughter and son-in-law, Renae and Larry Walker; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Bobby and Carol Achord and Bruce Achord and Jackie Delk; four
sisters, Diane Courtney, Rhonda McKinney, Sheila Robinson and Darlene Housley;
six grandchildren, Travis, Kimber and Brennan Achord, Dustin and Justin Walker
and Brennan Delk; daughter-in-law, Beth Bryant; and former husband, Buddy
Achord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Gladys Gill May;
son, Mark Achord; sister, Pamela Nadeau; and two nephews, Andy Nadeau and Cody
Marchesseault. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church in Walker.
