Carrie Alice Bahret was born at Netawaka, Kansas, December 2, 1870. at the age of two she moved with her parents, Sims and Nancy Osburn, to a farm near Buck's Grove. There she spent her childhood; attending church at Bucks Grove and country school at English Ridge. She later became affiliated with the Methodist church in Havensville, where she was a faithful attendant as long as her health allowed.
She was united in marriage to Albert F. Bahret on February 23, 1890. She is survived by two sons, Roscoe of Havensville, and Roland of Holton. Also three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bahret passed away March 12, 1958 at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 10 days. She was the last surviving member of both her and her friends.
Memorial services were held in the Havensville Methodist Church March 15, conducted by Rev. W. E. Hurtig. Music was furnished by Karen Fordham and Dean Robbins.
