Lee R. "Shike" Shirley 80, of Bartlett, retired plumber from Memphis City Schools and a member for many years of Plumbers Local Union #17, died, Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Signature Healthcare. Mr. Shirley, husband of Ann Shirley for 61 years, also leaves two daughters, Claudia Thompson of Bartlett and Karen Roberts of Memphis; brother, Charles Shirley of Memphis; sisters, Sammye McGrory, Barbara Shirley, Sandra Davis all of Memphis, and Annette Davis of Oakland; four grandchildren, Denise Thompson, Lee Thompson, Priscilla Roberts, and Christopher Roberts; and two great-grandsons. Visitation will be held Friday at Family Funeral Care from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Family Funeral Care. Interment will take place in Memory Hill Gardens.
