JULIA MADELL BLUE
Sulphur native Julia Madell Blue, 67, died April 20, 2003, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore. Funeral services were April 24 at Sandy Baptist Church, with Leslie Clark officiating. Burial was in Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery in Sulphur.
She was born July 16, 1935, in Sulphur to Abel R. and Selina (James) Brown. She married Jimmy Blue on July 7, 1952, in Van Buren, Ark. They moved back to Sulphur in 1970. Mrs. Blue was a child welfare counselor for the Chickasaw Nation for 30 years.
Survivors include: her husband of the home; a daughter, Teresa Buck of Sulphur; a son, Michael of Tulsa; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister and two half-sisters.
Cowley-Krien Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
