This memorial was made with love and respect for my sweet cousin.

My cousin Rosario was a wonderful person, and I enjoyed her company. I first met my cousin when I was just a little girl, about four or five. She came to visit us in Arizona for a couple of months. She was a big help to my Mom in helping with the children and the household chores.

My cousin & my mother would watch television together. My cousin was fond of "The Aventures of Ozzie & Harriet", especially Ricky Nelson.

We didn't call my cousin, Maria or Rosario, we all called her "Chiyo", not sure of the spelling of her nickname. She was a lot of fun with a great personality, beautiful too.

The time she was staying with us, she met her future husband, John. When he came courting, my father decided to send my cousin back to Guadalajara, Mexico. That didn't stop John, he was in love and decided to follow her to Mexico. My cousin didn't stay in Mexico long, she came back and bringing her younger sister to our home in Arizona and stayed with us. Eventually, my cousin and John marry at Riverside, California on 23 September 1958 and raised a beautiful family of three children.

I will always remember my cousin and her laughter, her joking nature. She enjoyed teasing my father by calling him "Banana nose", my dad would tell her she had the same "Banana nose" so why make fun of his nose.

My cousin passed away from cancer. Please pray for a cure.
