Mrs. Anna Eliza Myers, 76, who lived on a farm southwest of New Ross most of her married life, moving to New Ross four years ago, died Wednesday at her home there at 2:45 p.m. She had been in failing health for five years. Born in Montgomery County on Dec. 24, 1878, she was the daughter of Josiah and Elizabeth (Powell) Bowman. On Sept. 5, 1900, she was married to Elmer Myers, who survives her in death. She was a member of the New Ross Christian Church. Surviving besides the husband are two nephews, Manson Linn of Urbana, Illinois, and Mark Linn of Martinsville. A child which died in infancy, a brother and a sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the New Ross Christian Church, with Rev. Herbert J. Wilson and Rev. Earl Shaw officiating. Burial will be in New Ross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Thursday. The body will lie in state one hour before the services. The deceased requested that all flowers be omitted.
