Mrs. V. Turner Funeral April 9

Funeral services for Mrs. Vessie Turner were held Saturday in the Chapel of Prickett's Mortuary of Forest Grove and conducted by her pastor, the Rev. P. M. Blenkinsop, pastor of the Community Methodist church of Banks.

She died in a local hospital Wednesday following a short illness.

Mrs. Turner was born the daughter of James and Harriet Dunigan Parmley Feb. 15, 1872, in Mills Springs, Ken. On June 22, 1893, she was married to Montgomery Turner at Mills Springs, Ken: in July, 1903, they camed to the Banks area and had resided there since.

At the time of her death, she was a resident of Rt. 1, Banks.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Herman of Forest Grove, and James of Banks; Mrs. Leo (Flonnie) Aerts, Banks; Mrs. Victor (Nellie) Manuel, Portland. Three grandchildren also survive, Mrs. Lucille Aerts Mitchell, Buell; James Manuel, Portland, and George Turner of Banks.

She had been active in the Community Methodist church since it's founding and lived to see it celebrate its golden junilee this past summer. She also was an active member of the Pocahantas Rebekah lodge of Banks until it disbanded.

Donald Becker was soloist with Mrs. Gordon Merrill as Organist.

Committal services with vault interment were in the family lot in the Union Point cemetery, Banks.

Casket bearers were William Rufener, Albert Heard, Ellis McGraw, George Kessler, Ivan Morgan and Ferd Hartwick.
