Residence Baltimore MD; 39 years old.
Enlisted for the duration of the war on 6/10/1862 at Richmond, VA., he was mustered into (2nd) "K" Co. VA 1st Cavalry as a Private.
Detailed 2/15/1863 with Major Mosby's 43rd Battalion Partisan Rangers Cavalry.
Mortally wounded in left hip/abdomen, POW 5/2/1863 Warrenton Junction, VA.; transferred 5/3/1863 to "Mansion House", U.S.A. 1st Division General Hospital, Alexandria, where he died.
"Body taken by friends."

The 1st Cavalry Regiment completed its organization at Winchester, Virginia, in July, 1861. Unlike most regiments, the 1st contained twelve companies. The men were from the counties of Frederick, Berkeley, Rockbridge, Clarke, Washington, Augusta, Jefferson, Amelia, Loudoun, Rockingham, and Gloucester.

According to parish records at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Pvt. Glaudell (also spelled Glandell) was a member of 43rd Battalion Virginia Cavalry, Mosby's Rangers. He was a private and a musician.
