I have done some research on his wife's family. He married Christena Steckley (her father went by Stakele) in 1864 and it has his birthdate 1842. There is a death record in Noble Co., that states he died September 7, 1866. After his death Christena married Henry Ebey/Eby in 1868. Those dates correspond with his tombstone.
