BANCROFT — Anita Sue Davids Barfuss, 58, of Bancroft passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs. Sue was born February 11, 1949, the daughter of Joel Willard and Eva Pearl Lewis Davids in Soda Springs, Idaho. She had lived in Bancroft her whole life. She graduated from North Gem High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Sue married Fredrick Burt Barfuss on August 17, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple.
She was a Bancroft council member for the last few months and had written scripts for the 24th of July melodrama.
Sue enjoyed handiwork of any kind (crochet, plastic canvas, cross-stitch, etc.) She also enjoyed yard work, Cubs, baseball, sewing, high school sports and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick Burt Barfuss, one son and two daughters, Daniel Dean and MaLissa Anne Barfuss, Pamela Dawn Barfuss, and Nikki JoLee and Myron Bob Jr. Welker, all of Bancroft, Idaho. She is also survived by her mother, Eva Pearl Lewis Davids of Bancroft; and a sister, Debi Jo Lambert of Chubbuck, Idaho; and seven grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pearl and Roy Lewis and Hazel and Emery Davids, her father, Joel W. Davids, a sister, Billie Dawn Wynn, and a brother, Emery Leroy "Lucky" Davids.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2007, at noon at the Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Ken Christensen officiating. Family will meet with friends Friday evening, Oct. 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
