Mary Kathryn was born October 13, 1923 at Cairo, IL. She was the daughter of James A. “Ado†McCuan and Rena L. (Gurley) McCuan.
Mary Kathryn was united in marriage to William C. “Commodore†Burns in 1940. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1966.
Survivors include: 1 Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jim & Jo Burns of Cartersville, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Kim, Shari, Trevor, Jon, and Cathi; 5 Great Grandchildren: Derek, Devon, Matthew, Elisha, & Krista; 1 Great Great Grandson: Daryl; and Nieces & Nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Kathryn was preceded in death by: 1 Brother: Wayne W. Bellamy and 1 Sister: Wilma Heal.
Mary Kathryn was a homemaker. She had also been employed as a Cook at the Cypress Grade School and as a Nurse’s Aid at Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.
Mary Kathryn was a member of the West Eden Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved cats.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Larry Gilbert will officiate. Interment will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery in Cypress, IL. Visitation will be from 4 â€" 6 PM Sunday, November 28, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
