Barney, a lifelong resident of Sombrillo, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Barney was survived by his parents Manuel A. and Evelyn Bustos of Sombrillo; 3 brothers: Manuel Jr., Anthony, and Roland, all of Sombrillo; 3 sisters: Shirley of Sombrillo, Roxanne with the US Navy in Japan, Christella Villareal of Santa Cruz; grandmothers Armlada Martinez of Cuarteles and barbarita Maestas of Ranchitos; 3 nieces, a nephew, and other relatives.
A Rosary was on July 6 in Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Funeral services were on July 7 in the same church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers: Gerald Martinez, Sam Gallegos, Dwayne Archuleta, Lawrence Fresquez, Flavio Martinez, and Ronald Leeway.
