David was the son of the late John James Allen and Marie Bertha Nitche Allen and lived his entire life in Warren, PA. He grew up with 3 brothers; John, Joseph and Edward and 1 sister, Mary.
He served in the U.S. Army tank battalion during World War II and suffered permanent head injuries.
He was survived by one brother, Edward A. Allen and his wife, Barb, of Warren, Pa.; one sister, Mary T. Eggleston
of Spokane, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John J. Allen, Jr., who was killed in action in Italy, and Joseph F. Allen, who was wounded in Korea and never recovered.
