Peter See (sometimes spelled Lee) was an American Soldier during the American Civil War of 1861 to 1865.

He enlisted on July 30th, 1863, at New York City, New York, for three years service at the age of 18, and was mustered into service as a Private in Company D of the 9th New York Veteran Volunteer Infantry Regiment on August 29th, 1863. The regiment was merged with several other veteran regiments that were organizing in New York City at the time, and the company was assigned as Company H of the 17th New York Veteran Volunteer Infantry Regiment on October 14th, 1863. He served with the regiment through its service in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

Private See was killed in action on September 1st, 1864, at the Battle of Jonesboro, Georgia.
