David "Dave" Lavin, 78, of Malott, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Valley Care Center in Okanogan.
He was born in Tonasket and grew up in Oroville before moving to Omak in the early 1950s. He worked for Biles-Coleman Mill in Omak, then in the timber industry. He also served as the assistant chief for the Omak Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lavin of Malott; his children, Barbara Harris of Yelm, and Patty Workman and David James Lavin, both of Okanogan; his stepchildren, Walt Fletcher of Moses Lake, Howard Fletcher of Garfield, Ark., Helen Bright of Malott and Anita Fletcher of Everett.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Bergh Funeral Service, Oroville.
