(LAGRANGE, Ga.) Services for Celia Cumbee Dobbins, 94, of LaGrange were at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2000, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel in Roanoke, with Rev. Richard Shiver officiating. Burial was at Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Dobbins died Friday, July 21, at Brian Center in LaGrange.
She was born in Chambers County on Nov. 28, 1905, daughter of William T. and Sula Howell Cumbee. She had been a public school teacher in Georgia and Alabama for 37 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Dobbins.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Jewell Cumbee of LaGrange; a nephew, Duke H. Cumbee Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; two nieces, Carol Shelnutt of Stroud and Nelda Sharman of LaGrange; and several great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke.
