Dorothy "Dot" Bickford, of Front Royal, Va., passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in Front Royal. She was born Oct. 18, 1940, in Garrett County, Md., a daughter of Theada M. Lantz Jackson Shrout, of Kingwood.
She was Baptist by faith and was a waitress for the Mount Vista Diner, Knotty Pine Restaurant, the Prime Rib Restaurant and Dean's Steak House, all in Front Royal.
She is also survived by her daughter, Angela Noel Bickford, of Front Royal; her stepfather, Donald Shrout, of Kingwood; her companion, Danny Sochor, of Front Royal; four brothers, David (Sonny) Lantz, of Oakland, Md., Jerry (Mike) Jackson, of Norfolk, Va., James Jackson and Leonard Jackson, both of Kingwood; and two sisters, Joanne Conner, of Valley Point, and Linda Comer, of Bunker Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bickford; a stepfather, John Jackson; and two brothers, Lewis Lantz and John E. Jackson Sr. Interment in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
