"Wirt F. Buchanan, Sr., aged 78,
of Terrace Avenue, Grove City, died
suddenly from a heart attack Wednesday,
December 26. He made his
home with a grandson, H. L. Buchanan.
Mr. Buchanan had been a life
long resident of Mercer county, and
had been employed at the Bessemer
Gas Engine Works, until four years
ago when he retired on account of
his health.
"He is survived by a son, W. F. Buchanan,
Jr., Grove City; two daughters,
Mrs. Matthew Jenkins Brent,
and Mrs. James Magill, Grove City;
a step-son, Henry Payne, Greenville,
and a step-daughter, Mrs. Mary
Stone. Youngstown, Ohio.
"Funeral services will be held Friday
at 2 p. m. from the United Presbyterian
Church of Grove City, and
interment will be made in Finley
Cemetery."
