Born in Anchor Township, one of six children of Earl C. and Josie Stewart Williams, she married Elvin C. Barker on 11 Mar 1939. He died 30 Aug 1975.

Also preceeding her death were great-granddaughter Kirsten Arnold; son-in-law James O. Arnold; two sisters, Josephine (Fay) Durflinger and infant sister, Junia Williams; three brothers: John R. "Jack" Williams, Earl S. Williams and Glen B. Williams.

Surviving are her daughter, three grandsons, five great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Esther Williams.
