Anthony Lane Dykes
The Lord put his hand on Lane while he slept on June 29, 2009, and took him to heaven. "Life is too soon past and only with love will it last."

The love Lane had for his sons, Robby, Zach and JJ (Joey); parents, Reta and Paul Dykes; brother, Todd and his family; the mother of his children, Jennifer; cousin, Phil Applegate will last forever.

Lane was born September 4, 1964 at Saint Anthony Hospital in OKC, grew up in Bethany, OK with the love of his pets, little-league baseball in the Tri-City League, and basketball and football with Putnam City Optimist. He was baptized at Council Road Baptist church and carried his faith with him through life's triumphs and challenges. He loved and was loved by his friends of all colors, starting with his little-league sports and culminating with dear friends: Andre, Twyla, Brooke, Jasmine, and Haley Powell; and Robert Pennon. He attended Putnam City Lakepark Elementary, Western Oaks Junior High and Putnam City West high school, where he played basketball and baseball. He graduated from UCO in Edmond, OK with a degree in business and marketing. He was employed by Butler Paper, and Hershey Chocolate before transferring to Kansas City, KS. There he met his lifetime goal of becoming a pharmaceutical representative when he was employed by Bristol-Myers Squibb, and later Athena Diagnostics and Home Depot.

Lane is survived by his children: Robby Lane, Zachary Lane, and Joey Lane Dykes of Kansas City, MO; parents, Reta and Paul Dykes of Bethany, OK; brother, Todd and wife Tammy, niece Karley and nephew, Brayden, of Frisco, TX; uncles: Kendall Dykes of Broken Arrow, OK and Wayne Godfrey of Gardena, CA.

We have so many good memories of Lane. We will remember his love, faith, courage, accomplishments, and his successful but short life. His love will last forever in our hearts.

Services will be July 8, 2009, at Mercer & Adams Funeral Home, 3925 Asbury, Bethany OK, 495-4363, with burial to follow at Fairlawn cemetery in Chickasha, OK.
