"Lisa Marie Abbott, 17, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1993 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was born, Feb. 9, 1976 in Bountiful, to Lloyd M. Abbott and Charlene Paxman.
Lisa lived in Bountiful, before coming to St. George in the middle of the eighth grade. She was a senior at Dixie High School where she was in the honors program and on the high honor roll. She was listed in 'Who's Who Among High School Students.' She was involved in the drama department where she was selected as Best
Actress in her class for the 1992-93 year and was most recently involved in the play "Joseph." She loved to sing and dance and was an excellent pianist. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and helped with the 100 quilts project for the flood victims of the Midwest. She was talented with children and helped as a tutor at East Elementary.
An active member of the LDS Church, Lisa had served as Laurel president and in several other callings.
She was beyond her years in wisdom, knew where she was going in life and was loved and respected by her peers. She was a friend to everyone and had no guile.
Surviving family members include:... Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 23, 1993, at 1 p.m. at the St. George LDS West Stake Center, ... Friends may call at the Metcalf Mortuary, ... on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and at the Stake Center on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to services.
Interment will be in the St.George City Cemetery under the direction of the Metcalf Mortuary.
