Neoma A. ‘Pat' Baldwin, age 82, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma formerly of Independence and Neodesha, Kansas died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Potts Chapel of Independence, Kansas with the Reverend Dave Cheshier officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorials to the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.
Pat was born March 8, 1926 in Fredonia, Kansas to Tommie S. and Lily Dale [Snowden] Hash, she grew up in Fredonia and graduated from the Fredonia High School.
In 1947 Pat married Donald Baldwin in Coffeyville, Kansas and they made their home in Neodesha, Kansas. Pat graduated from Independence Beauty College in 1963. Pat owned and operated Pat's Beauty Salon in Neodesha, Kansas for over 30 years. In 1984 the couple moved to Independence, Kansas before moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma about 6 years ago.
Pat was a member of the Eastern Star, she was the Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine, a sponsor for Jobs Daughters and after retirement she volunteered for the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary in Independence, Kansas. Pat was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; one daughter Lynda and husband Dr Michael Stark of Dawson Creek, British Columbia; three sons Russell and wife Jan Baldwin of Independence, Kansas, Ronald and wife Margie Baldwin of Saucier, MS; David and wife Bonnie Baldwin of Neodesha, Kansas; two brothers Eugene Hash of Redwood Valley, CA and Walter Hash of Neodesha, Kansas; one sister Ruby G. Rusk-Bangs of Kennewick, WA; 11 grandchildren Susan Wilson of Port Moody, British Columbia, Dr. Rochelle Stark of Laramie WY, Stephen Stark of Quebec, Canada, Russell L. Baldwin II of Independence, Kansas, Elaine Aiken of Jay, OK, Ronald L. Baldwin II of Madison, MS, Donald R. Baldwin of Biloxi, MS, Tisha Coker of Bay St. Louis, MS, Kim Withroder of Olsburg, KS, Amanda Baldwin of Olathe, KS and Travis Baldwin of Whiteman Air Force Base, MO; 14 great grandchildren, Joel Wilson, Caitlin Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Noah Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Sara Wilson, Jonathan Baldwin, Riley Aiken, Tucker Aiken, Elizabeth Baldwin, Brody Coker, Corinne Withroder, Latham Withroder and Ryan Baldwin.
