Funeral services for Barbara Jean Bozarth Gordon, 71, of Chickasha will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2009, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Barbara was born March 6, 1938, in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eugene Bayne and Naomi Matlock Denson. She died June 25, 2009, in Chickasha. Barbara grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing Public Schools. She later attended and graduated from Nursing School in El Reno, Oklahoma. She worked as a nurse for 34 years before she retired.
She was a people person, and she loved helping people. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Oklahoma Nurses Association and the Full Gospel Church.
She was preceded in death by both parents; one son, George Bozarth; one granddaughter, Jessica Bozarth; one great-grandson, Ethan Yandle; one brother, Billy Bayne; one sister, Jo Newlon; and her dear friend, Jo Freeman. She leaves behind her children: Randy (Janice) Bozarth, of Ninnekah, Loy (Jennifer) Bozarth, of Gainesville, Texas, Troy Bozarth, of Purcell, Wesley (Chris) Freeman, of Chickasha, Jimmie Sue Townley, of Carlisle, Arkansas, Toni (Robert) Maxwell, of Chickasha, Carla Bozarth, of Chickasha, Naomi Rene (Bart) McWilliams, of Rush Springs; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; her brothers: Tommy Bayne, Melvin Denson, Bob Denson, Mickey Denson; her sisters: Leslie Taylor and Colleen Denson; her dearest friends: Caroline Bray and Vonda White; many nieces, nephews, and much extended family.
