Mrs. Harper retired from St. Joseph's Home as a cook and was a member of St. John's AME Church in Springfield.
Survivors: three sons, Tommy J., Willie G. (wife, Susan) and Sylvester (wife, Jewell L.) Harper, all of Springfield; two daughters, Hallie Yates of Springfield and Alice M. Harper of St. Louis; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Garfield Jones of South Bend, Ind.; a niece; two nephews; and several cousins.
Services: St. John's AME Church, the Rev. Sammy L. Hooks officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
